Malmö Airport is an important Swedish transport hub to the fast-growing region of Greater Copenhagen. It offers domestic flights to several Swedish cities and a number of European countries, including Poland and Hungary. Malmö and the Swedish region Skåne has a fully integrated ticket system for train and bus services. Skånetrafiken is the administrator for public transport in Skåne. You can buy a ticket from vending machines at Malmö Central Railway station as well on other locations around Malmö in the Skåne area. It’s also possible to pay your ticket on the buses. Note: it is not possible to buy tickets on the trains, so ensure you purchase a ticket from the vending machines before you get on the train.

Pågatågen is the purple train network in the Skåne area. Several lines connecting local cities and suburbs run at frequent intervals.
Öresundstågen is a network of regional rail services to southern Swedish cities such as Gothenburg, Växjö, Kalmar and Karlskrona. As well as offering a direct connection to Denmark via the Øresund Bridge to Copenhagen Airport, the network also serves Copenhagen Central station and other Danish cities.
There are two different kind of buses. The green buses operate in the Malmö city area and the yellow buses, Skånetrafiken, connect cities and villages all around the Skåne area.
